# Hotlinked image adds featured link

This looks like this is a bug, or edge case for featured links, but filing it as a feature for now.

Topics which begin with a hotlinked image in categories which allow featured links will add the original image URL as a featured link to the post.

As the image is relocated onto the local server (or CDN) is there any value in doing this?
