# Hover for exact read time

Continuing the discussion from [Exact Read Time](https://meta.discourse.org/t/exact-read-time/64507):
Currently, there is no easy way to view your exact read time if you have more than 1 hour of reading time. The only way is to download your data from the activity tab and add up your read time. Most of the time is a pain to do if you just want to look quickly and if you want to check it often you need to do everything I said before again. So it would be a lot easier to just be able to hover over your read time on your profile to view the full thing. Eg 2 days, 14 hours, 38 minutes. This is very useful for forums that have badges for read time such as the [Codecademy forums](https://discuss.codecademy.com/).

To add on you can only download your data once a day. So if you are getting close you can only calculate it once a day so you cant see exactly how much you have after you spent some more time reading.
