# How can I manually regenerate optimized images?

Update: I [rebuilt all posts of the last two days](https://meta.discourse.org/t/rebake-all-posts-since-a-specific-date/123209), but some still have a missing optimised thumbnail image. I checked and the original images are still available on disk. It’s just the rebuild that’s not working for some reason. Any ideas how I can force Discourse to regenerate those images? [Here’s an example of an affected topic](https://blenderartists.org/t/thomas-big-tom-castellano/1194700).
