# How can I prevent users from deleting their accounts?

Hey.

I noticed that community users (at least in my community) can delete their accounts. I want to prevent them from doing this. But I can’t find proper setting in administration panel. In meta.discourse I couldn’t see that “remove my account” button, so how do you disable it may I ask?

(Self) deleting is only available when your account is 3 days or less old, and you have 1 or less post.

You can change the site setting `purge unactivated users grace period days` to prevent the automatic delete, to prevent the self delete you can hide with CSS the Delete button on the user profile page.
