# How do I feed my workflow data to test it?

Hmm so, I did see that I can trigger a step manually with the little green “start” button, but not sure where to search for Manual?

As I was fumbling around I tried pressing on that green “start” button for the step it had got stuck on after “pinning” the previous output – I’m not sure what that does or how it worked but it seems to have done what I wanted (added the user to the right group).

But it was pretty random, would like to understand what I did!
