# How do I re-enable the toc on docs? And how do I toggle translation?

Looks like Meta is testing the new “simple mode” for doc categories. Can someone help me understand how I am supposed to get the TOC back after I click “timeline”?

My workaround to find a topic with a TOC that isn’t a doc is a little complicated. The “Toggle translations” button is only visible while the timeline is visible, which is why I used the button. I think it would be quite helpful to have that button on docs in simple mode too.

The workaround for this can be to scroll down to the bottom and click “show N comment(s)”, which seems to be tied to the TOC/timeline as well:

But this does seem like an unintentional side-effect @saquetim ?
