# How do you leave a group chat?

What does this mean? How exactly do I remove myself from a group chat?

First, click the name of the group chat (by default, it’ll just be a string of the users in the chat) and then click Leave channel:

You can do what the above reply states, or just hover over the chat and click the x and you’ll leave it.

The hover solution is only for direct messages.
