# How do you modify the Chat Notification Email?

I’m trying to edit the Chat Notification Email but can’t find it in Admin–\> Email → Templates

Can anyone offer any advice on how to edit it? I need to modify the footer text but can’t figure out how. Thanks.

Find some text that is in the email and search for that in the text customizations.

actually @pfaffman - I do have a follow up on this. I need to modify the “view message” link in this email.

Am I correct in assuming I would need to edit some code to do that and if so by any chance would you know where I would need to do that?

You can modify this directly in the admin: `/admin/customize/site_texts?q=view_message`
