# How does a forum have no admins

### How “Admins” and “Moderators” Appear on the About Page

- The /about page automatically generates two sections: one for Admins (“Our Admins”) and one for Moderators (“Our Moderators”).
- If a user is both an Admin and a Moderator, they will be listed only under “Our Admins” and not in both sections. This is intentional in Discourse’s default design ([discussion](https://meta.discourse.org/t/about-listing-of-admins-vs-moderators-is-confusing/90434)).

### Why Your About Page May Not Show Admins

- Users who have not visited the site in the past year will not show up on the /about page staff list, even if they are admins or moderators ([source](https://meta.discourse.org/t/admin-missing-from-about-page/347264)).

- Groups can be hidden from this list using the `about_page_hidden_groups` site setting, which prevents users in those groups from appearing as staff ([documentation](https://meta.discourse.org/t/understanding-and-customizing-the-about-page/332161)).
