# How does BBCode color work in Discourse?

[color=red]This is supposed to be colored red.[/color]

I was trying BBCode on the Hopscotch forums, but it proved to not work. Some types of BBCode do work, for example, sizes:

`[size=20]The text size is 20[/size]`  
[size=20]The text size is 20[/size]

How come BBCode doesn’t always work or am I doing it wrong?

Only works if the BBCode color plugin is installed.

Nope, use standard Unicode emoji for that, or press the emoji button in the editor.
