# How does user of the month or rookie of the month works?

I really wanted this user of the month badge and i think that **I** have the most likes, views, read time, etc in the first month that I joined.
But for some reason, the badge was **NOT** given to me, but to someone **ELSE** with less everything in general
For example:

This guy literally have less than 10 likes and he has the user of the month badge, when **I** have ~27 times more like than that guy, **DON’T** have that badge.

It only applies to users who joined in that particular month. Did you create your account in that month?

Sadly, this is the actual case, I think.
If I made my account 3 days later I would have got that badge 😫😫😫😫

I’m a member of three forums, have a ton of badges in one forum, a half-ton in another, and never got that badge, 😆 I’m fairly new on this forum and I never expected - or even thought about - getting it on this forum. That just the way it goes. Most badges come as a pleasant surprise when least expected. 😉
