How to align Categories in one column

My current category set-up looks like this;

but I want it to look like this.

can’t seem to find the settings for categories

so far, no edits where made/added in the backend.

Did you use the Topic Preview List plugin? If so, try uninstalling that.

btw, these are the plugins i have right now.

are you referring to that plugin?

Yes, that is the one.

There are two possibilities.

  1. If you are running Docker, you will edit your app.yml file to either comment out the github clone statement for that plugin, or remove it entirely, then rebuild the app.
  2. If you are using vagrant or a development install, you simply delete the folder from the /plugins folder, and start the rails server again.

As an aside, I see that you are installing a lot of plugins without really understanding their impact to Discourse. It may be wise to slow down a bit and use Discourse without any third party plugins. As learning Discourse first, and then figuring out what is absolutely necessary for your community, would be a much simplier approach.
