# How to anonymise a single post?

I can see how to “change ownership” but is it possible to anonymise a single post by attributing it to a **new** anonymous user (e.g. anonymous94)?

What about impersonating the user, entering anonymous mode to create anonymousNN, then as admin changing ownership of the post to anonymousNN?

Or creating a new user, changing ownership to that user, then anonymising the user? That’s probably more of a rigmarole.

If you allow anonymous mode for that user’s trust level, this would work as I’ve done this before.

This would be another option, but seems a bit extreme for a single post.
