# How to ban some link URL's? I need to avoid spam

Some users are publishing links to competitor webs.
is there any way to auto ban that URL’s?

It really isn’t meant for this usage, but we use the censor word list to do this. We’ll put something like `adf.ly` in the censor word list, and any URL that go through that service is broken. It doesn’t ban or alert the user in anyway (unless they review their post), it simply prevents the URL from working, as it replaces it with the censor unicode block.
We’ve done it for many different URLs and it has consistently worked well for what we needed.
