How to change title of our login page

(Ingólfur ) #1

The title of our login page took the same H1 tag as the frontpage of our forum. How do we change the title of our login page? Thank you for your help!

See The very first setting in admin.

Hi Jay,

I can find the field to change the title tag of the whole forum, but not the login page. What´s the name of the field that changes that? Again, thanks!

Hmm. Perhaps I don’t understand. Do you mean http://yoursite/login? Mine has “welcome to SITENAME”.

If you mean that pop-up where you enter your username and password, you’d need to click down /admin .. settings ... customize ... text content, search for “log in” and change js.login.title.

https://yoursite/admin/customize/site_texts/js.login.title is the direct path.

Hey Jay,

Thanks for your attention. I´m talking about this link: Guide to Iceland forum

It has the same H1 title tag as the main page: forum.guidetoiceland.is, which conflicts with our SEO efforts.

The question is, where do I change the H1 tag for the first page: /login?

Once again, thanks a lot!

That page redirects to your main site, so I’m not sure what needs to change.

I don’t understand the SEO implications of the H1 on your login page, but to see what the site looks like to a crawler you need to turn off javascript and user a crawler’s User Agent.

There is no “page” for login, it is a dialog superimposed over whatever page you are on. We are a JavaScript app, not a traditional website, so as @pfaffman noted you would need to view that page in a crawler.
