# How to disable "bootstrap mode"?

Is there a way to disable the **bootstrap mode** and/or the consequently appearing message:

> To make launching your new site easier, you are in bootstrap mode. All new users will be granted trust level 1 and have daily email digest updates enabled. This will be automatically turned off when total user count exceeds 50 users.

Note: I’m using _discourse\_docker_ with the _tests-passed_ branch.

Yes, you can find the option to disable _bootstrap mode_ in the Site settings: search for the bootstrap option with the filter box `bootstrap mode min users` and set the value to 0 to disable it.

Thanks for this!

By default it is set to 50 and I found this setting and switched mine to 30 (we have over 50 people in our forums)… and the blue warning bar was still there.

After switching to 0 and saving, I received this notifcation:

Just wanted to post this in case another had an issue. Looks like it takes up to 24 hours for the banner to disappear.
