# How to download all the posts?

I agree; the backup seems to be the easiest solution.

It also depends on what you’re looking for.  
If you need specific data, you may also be interested in the [Data Explorer](https://meta.discourse.org/t/32566?silent=true) plugin, which exports in CSV/JSON.
