Hello, iam new here but i like Discourse. I have any questions.
Is Discourse free ?
Can i download him ?
I have hosting of my provider, is possible classical install in this hosting ?

Thanks but i say i dont have own server, i have classic hosting. (no cloud,)
I thought the installation would take place in the way that I just take the files and drag them to ftp and install.
I can not do more, in which case it is not for me. But the forum looks very nice.

So rent a VPS. Very cheap and easy these days. So much choice.

Discourse is a free software… but you need hardware to run it on.
Just like how minecraft is free despite not being given a free PC to play it on when you download the game.

What are you talking about? Minecraft isn’t free.
And I have the hardware. I have a PC running wampserver, that should be enough. I have access to command line and everything on my own PC which is where I want to run it from.

You can install Discourse on your PC, but only for development purposes. For a ‘live’ production you would need a cloud server.
