# How to hide all posts from a specific user

Is there a way to hide all posts for a specific user (without deleting them). The use case is to temporarily hide them until a legal issue is resolved after which then can be un-hidden. That’s why I don’t simply want to delete them.

You can search for all posts by this users, then batch edit and pick “Unlist Topics”

⚠ though actually, there’s a funny quirk: how do you find those topics again? 🤔
An _Unlisted_ filter was discussed in the topic below. Seems it was never added after all?

I think this topic is not about how to hide posts for yourself, but how to hide them for everyone. Isambard asked for an alternative to deleting the posts.

Right, and it’s almost 1 year old… @opcourdis solution would probably work by modifying the theme. Posts would still be there, it would only target the display of them. Users could see them by manually doing the opposite on their end, tho.

Yes that is what I meant by the use of the word communication but with the css class that I proposed here, you would hide both their official communication inside a topic(like why they choose to close it) & their opinion as well

The search parameter `include:unlisted` [was added](https://meta.discourse.org/t/how-administrator-or-moderator-can-search-unlisted-topics/102834/16).
It’s listed here [Searching for content effectively](https://meta.discourse.org/t/searching-for-content-effectively/273328/4#p-1549174-search-filters-2?u=cocoquark)
The parameter is not listed in the advanced search options.
You can also use the [/filter](https://meta.discourse.org/filter) route (which I think is not an experimental setting anymore) and the `status:unlisted` parameter 🙂
