Hello everyone, I’m looking for any tips you may have regarding optimization for image-heavy communities. Loads fine with topics that have less than 20 posts, but more than that it starts getting less dynamic. Thanks.
Hi!
Can you define “less dynamic”? Have you any metric to provide? Is the interface slugglish, or does the page takes a long time to load?
Discourse, by default, show light thumbnails. Full images (which are also optimized if they exceed some image setting such as max width/height/weight, etc) are loaded only when we click on the thumbnail.
How many pictures are in the posts? Can you share a link to such a topic? What are the server’s specs?
Hello, the pages takes a bit of time to load when scrolling.
Each post can have between 1 and 15 images.
Light thumbnails are working.
