# Comment migrer mon instance Discourse vers une nouvelle installation propre

Hi!

I’ve got an old Discourse instance. I tried to do all the update but I’ve frequently some bugs. How I can I migrate my Discourse instance to a fresh new install?

- Take a backup of your current install.
- Install Discourse from scratch on another VPS.
- Restore your backup.
- 🎉

And don’t forget to change the ‘A’ entry in the dns of your domain with the ip of the new server.
