# How to prevent certain usernames from being used?

Hello,

I wanted to know if there is any way to prevent users from using certain usernames. Let’s say that I don’t one using @Jean11, [@team](https://meta.discourse.org/groups/team) or [@support](https://meta.discourse.org/groups/support).

Yes, this is already the case for some of these.

You can find the list in `your-site/admin/site_settings/category/users`

Look for the field: `reserved usernames`
