# How to reload configuration after app.yml changes?

The better method is to do a rebuild:

```plaintext
cd /var/discourse
./launcher rebuild app
```

If you also want to update to the newest version, do this intead:

```plaintext
cd /var/discourse
git pull
./launcher rebuild app
```
