# How to remove AI features in Discourse?

Hi, I’d like to know whether we can remove all AI features in Discourse. We do not want anything from third parties in our forum, for confidentiality reasons. Moreover, we dislike the extra power consumption brought about by such features.

The change mentioned in the announcement happened in the Discourse AI repository:  
[https://github.com/discourse/discourse-ai/pull/796](https://github.com/discourse/discourse-ai/pull/796)  
Without the Discourse AI plugin, there won’t be a button.

Don’t install the plugin or if it is installed do not enable

That is all you need to do
