# How to run discourse on subdirectory of external domain?

If you followed the [Serve Discourse from a subfolder (path prefix) instead of a subdomain](https://meta.discourse.org/t/subfolder-support-with-docker/30507) guide and at the end you can’t access the forum, you messed up badly at some step.

Destroy the server and try again.
