# How to set Letter Avatar service URL in discourse

I have a discourse instance running and a separate letter avatar instance. I wanted to know how to set the url of my letter-avatar-service in the discourse instance, so that discourse can use that to load the avatars.

Check the `external_system_avatars_url` in Admin \> Settings.
