Probably because I’ve read too much Terry Pratchett\[1\], I wanted to put a footnote on a comment in another footnote\[2\]. ( ← Try it.)

Tragically, although it appears to work in the preview:

it does not work at all on the posted post.

It does! But that’s because Iike the preview here, that’s showing the footnotes at the bottom, not with the `... ` inline thing.
