# I cant setup smtp. I tried everything

Yes, sending and receiving mail are two distinct processes.

You can use Gmail mailbox for retrieving mail via POP3 as described in this #howto [Set up reply by email with POP3 polling](https://meta.discourse.org/t/set-up-reply-via-email-support/14003)
