# I want to install using a reverse proxy for Apache

Here’s what we actually set up!

<VirtualHost *:80>
  ServerName DOMAIN-NAME
    ProxyPreserveHost on
    RequestHeader set X-Forwarded-Proto expr=%{REQUEST_SCHEME}
    RequestHeader set X-Real-IP expr=%{REMOTE_ADDR}
    ProxyPass / unix:/var/discourse/shared/standalone/nginx.http.sock|http://localhost/
    ProxyPassReverse / unix:/var/discourse/shared/standalone/nginx.http.sock|http://localhost/
</VirtualHost>

```
