Users can always disable any kind of embeds by wrapping a link in `<`

```plaintext
<https://discourse.org/>
```

[https://discourse.org/](https://discourse.org/)

Also clearly you can just create links:

```plaintext
[discourse.org](https://discourse.org/)
```

[discourse.org](https://discourse.org/)

A savvy user would not need this kind of setting, just go about creating content without the embeds.
