# If I change the settings for automatic TL promotion, will that change all existing users?

I would like to change the TL promotion rules to be more lenient, but am wondering if that will promote all the users that now meet those qualifications without them having to visit the forum again.

Yes, but certain jobs will need to fire, there may be a delay.
