# Ignored vs. Muted users

Hello, I read several (~10) forums powered by Discourse, and in one of them only, I noticed the “Ignored users” feature. Does this mean it is too recent to be everywhere? But it’s not even on _this_ forum (meta) which seems strange. Or is it configurable by the admins and they can disable it?

I’m asking because I _really_ need something like Ignored users. I don’t use notifications at all, so the Muted users feature doesn’t do anything for me.

Hello and welcome @nobrowser 🙂

Typically, the Ignore feature is available to users Trust Level 2 and up, though can be tweaked per site with `ignore allowed groups`. So there’s a chance you either haven’t reached that level yet, or the admins of the site have changed it away from the default.
