I’m using the discourse mobile app to visit meta as well as our own…
I’ve noticed I (Intermittently) get push notifications from our own Discourse community which is not hosted by Discourse…
Has anyone else experienced this?
I’m grateful for it… just thought it was interesting

On iOS the app has a fallback to polling for updates in the background. It’s isn’t push notifications (that are instantaneous) and subject to the OS scheduler (to save battery) but they do happen.
