Indeed it is amazing just how much we can accomplish on a mobile. I know with the forum I am currently designing. I need to start using the desktop.
The CORS stuff is 100% fixable these days. We can simply serve the assets from the domain this is hosted on (similar to how the svg bob component works)
Just a matter of implementing it… going to put a pr-welcome on moving this component to use local assets.
I can not upgrade this component to newest version with error:
An error occurred: Error creating upload asset: cropro. Original filename Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is not authorized (authorized extensions: jpg, jpeg, png, svg, gif, webp, heic, heif, avif, txt, pdf, doc, docx, csv).
I am a beginner, and I found a rotate function in the image button. When I click the rotate button, the image preview is still clear, but when I save, the image immediately becomes blurry.
I tried adjusting the values in [image|690x371], but it is still blurry. I checked the image information, and the original 200kb became 50kb. Why does rotation reduce the resolution?
I am not very clear about the principle behind this, so I hope to get professional help.
Interesting. I hadn’t come across this component before. Looking at the comments above however it looks like it has some issues, including what you’re describing and also issues trying to use it on mobile. So I would personally not try to use this component at the moment until those issues are resolved.
The ability to crop and rotate directly from within discourse would be amazing!
