# Images broken in WP-Discourse after Discourse URL change

Some time ago I changed the URL of my Discourse instance. Since then, I get 404 errors on avatars on WP-discourse comments. They are still pointing to the old URL of Discourse. I’ve made the change in the WP-Discourse plugin, and everything is working with the API and even web hooks. It’s just the images that point to the old location.

I’ve tried clearing the cache, etc. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

You’re going to need to update your wordpress database to point to the new URLs, AFAIK they’re stored as absolute paths, not relative.

Did you update the discourse\_permalink field in wp\_postmeta too for your older posts?
