For some reason I sometimes see no images in the composer now. But they are there…..

Can you share a screenshot to illustrate what you mean? Are you talking about the markdown composer (with markdown on the left and preview on the right) or the richtext editor? You can switch between them using the toggle at the far left in the composer menu.
Yeah it’s the WYSIWYG editor that doesn’t show pictures I had added, the markdown editor shows them fine. The image is there, I can click on it etc but it’s just not being shown:
That is pretty weird. This is a self-hosted site? Installed using the official install method and kept up to date?
What happens if you toggle to markdown mode? Does the image show up then?
Does it work in safe mode?

Well then you may want to ask @RGJ if he has any ideas.
Did safe mode work? If so then it could be a theme component.
well it worked in safe mode, but now it also works without it, so it seems I need to keep triaging this behavior and keep an eye out which circumstances reproduce it. I will keep you posted.
