As pointed out by @Mittineague, the images are going from a raw of:

```plaintext
<img src="//cdck-file-uploads-global.s3.dualstack.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/meta/original/3X/2/3/2302e458436b35f8493259805de0e2e91fd5038e.png" width="150">
<img src="//cdck-file-uploads-global.s3.dualstack.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/meta/original/3X/2/3/2302e458436b35f8493259805de0e2e91fd5038e.png" width="100">
<img src="//cdck-file-uploads-global.s3.dualstack.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/meta/original/3X/2/3/2302e458436b35f8493259805de0e2e91fd5038e.png" width="50">
```

To a cooked HTML of:

```plaintext
<p>
  <img src="//meta-discourse.globl.ssl.fastly.net//cdck-file-uploads-global.s3.dualstack.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/meta/original/3X/2/3/2302e458436b35f8493259805de0e2e91fd5038e.png" width="50" height="46">
  <br>
  <img src="//meta-discourse.globl.ssl.fastly.net//cdck-file-uploads-global.s3.dualstack.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/meta/original/3X/2/3/2302e458436b35f8493259805de0e2e91fd5038e.png" width="50" height="46">
  <br>
  <img src="//meta-discourse.globl.ssl.fastly.net//cdck-file-uploads-global.s3.dualstack.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/meta/original/3X/2/3/2302e458436b35f8493259805de0e2e91fd5038e.png" width="50" height="46">
</p>
```

Obviously, something is happening when the post is being cooked.
