# Improved Image Generation Support in Discourse AI

We’re excited to announce an enhancement to Discourse AI’s image generation capabilities, making it easier than ever to add and use AI powered image creation across your community!

## ✨ What’s new

This update introduces a streamlined setup for image generation tools from popular AI providers. Rather than manually configuring complex tool scripts, you can now quickly enable image generation through an intuitive interface.

### Quick setup for popular providers

We’ve added preset configurations for leading image generation services:

- [Google Gemini Nano Banana](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/image-generation)
- [Flux 1.1 Pro](https://www.together.ai/models/flux1-1-pro)
- [Flux 2 Pro](https://docs.bfl.ai/flux_2/flux2_overview)
- Custom

Simply select your provider from the AI tools menu, add your API credentials, and you’re ready to generate images!

### Where you can use it?

Once configured, image generation tools work seamlessly across multiple Discourse AI features:

- AI Bot: Ask the AI bot to create images directly in conversations
- Illustrate Post: Automatically generate thumbnails and illustrations for your posts
- AI Personas: Equip custom AI personas with image generation capabilities

> 📣 Look out for more! In the next coming months we aim to introduce more AI features backed by image generation.

### For Administrators

The new interface makes setup straightforward:

1. Navigate to the AI tools section in your admin panel
2. Create “➕ New tool” → Image generation…
3. Select your preferred provider (or custom option)
4. Navigate to script section and add your API credentials
5. Customize settings like image size, quality, and generation limits if you desire
6. Enable the tool for your desired AI personas or features

is there a easy way to use stability api? I’m trying to put my apy key in a custom tool, but it doenst works
