# In-topic search: Is that possible to relax the minimum search character to 2?

@codinghorror posted about lowering in topic search from 3 to 2, but I don’t think it ever happened. You can always use your browsers find tool (type Ctrl + F twice), but that will only work on shorter topics as long topics don’t have every post loaded at all times.
