# Include Original Posts in email replies

a lot of our users are using the forum by email, they are replying via email directly. Is there a way to include the original post in the email?
i am seeing threaded replies, but it would be great if it can include the original post as well.

Would this be controlled by the ‘Include previous replies at the bottom of emails’ setting and ‘Include an excerpt of replied to posts in emails’ on a user’s Preference-\>Emails page?
If so, you can change those default values sitewide from the admin settings (`default email previous replies` and `default email in reply to`)
If not, then I’m not sure. 🙂
