# Incorrect :heart: likes count

I thought I saw this discrepancy mentioned recently, but now I can’t find it. The :heart: count differs from the number of likes:

I reported this on November 4th as a bug and @codinghorror had responded, but [the topic](https://meta.discourse.org/t/like-count-has-gone-a-little-squirrelly/101271) has since disappeared. Have seen it recur since, but when new likes land on the same reply the number is usually remedied.

You’d need to provide steps to reproduce the problem.

Beyond a post receiving likes and the number not incrementing while the avatars increase I’ve not been able to find a solid repro.

Yes, I can confirm this.
