# Indication of email attachment with non-allowed extension

Would it be possible to show some sort of indication of that there was an attachment with an extension that’s not in the list of allowed extensions but was in the original email?

Can you describe what happens now that is a problem? This is not something I have paid attention to myself. My assumption was it would reject the post with an error.

Customer send an email with a file attached (.rodl extension). I forgot to add that file in my setup but the email got through just fine as a post. There was no indication however that this was originally attached but now ignored. This caused a bit of confusion on our side with “yes it was, no there was no attachment”.

@codinghorror we sure can, added to my ✏.
@carlokok in the meantime, you can enable the “`allow all attachments for group messages`” site setting and you will never forget to whitelist another extension 😉
