# Info on category permissions

Hi, I searched in the #how-to but I did not find what I need.
I would like that users can see only the threads created by them within a category, while the staff see all the threads.
It is possible with Discourse?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. An alternative is to make it so that people can send messages to the staff group.

Should I then only use private messages using @ staff?
