That PR description on github looks fantastic! 🤩 I also rely on this component for numerous things and on numerous discourse sites, and would love for it to work on mobile as well as it does on desktop. Hope the PR can be looked at by the team soon.

(Also seeing the admin notice, and disabling the component for now)
