# Install discourse doc plugin from Git is failed

Hi,  
I tried to install [Discourse Docs](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-docs-documentation-management/130172) plugin from Git.But it was failed with the following promp.Any help will be much appreciated.Thank you

The error is very pertinent.

That’s because plugins are installed from within app.yml config, not from the UI.

You appear to be trying to install a plugin as if it was a Theme or Theme component.
