# Install discourse with internet access only via proxy

Well if you have an intranet, you will not be using that anyway.

You can either use a different source of default avatars using the site setting `default avatars`, pass all the needed avatars trough SSO or even run a instance of [avatars.discourse.org](http://avatars.discourse.org) that we [open source](https://github.com/discourse/letter-avatars).
