# Installing problem - bundle install

For live production server recommended installation method is [Docker](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/blob/master/docs/INSTALL.md).

For local development environment recommended methods are [Mac OS X](https://meta.discourse.org/t/beginners-guide-to-install-discourse-on-mac-os-x-macos-for-development/15772), [Ubuntu](https://meta.discourse.org/t/beginners-guide-to-install-discourse-on-ubuntu-for-development/14727) and [Vagrant](https://meta.discourse.org/t/howto-set-up-a-development-environment-using-vagrant-ubuntu-guide/45277) guides.

All other installations are officially not supported and difficult methods also.

I guess you are not using one of the recommended methods above.
