# Internal notes on topics

Hey Discourse team,
I’ve been searching for an internal notes plugin but I can’t seem to find one that fits our requirements. Essentially we’d like to have the ability to add an internal note that’s associated with a specific topic.
The usecase is that our discourse community is a public support channel, and staff that are providing assistance on new topics should be able to note specific info for other internal staff to reference, eg: providing notes on troubleshooting that has already happened, or linking to other topics/issues that are related.
Is there already a plugin that exists that will allow this? The closest I’ve found so far is [User Notes](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-user-notes/41026) - which allow you to leave a note on a specific user, but we’d like to achieve this on a specific topic instead.
