# Invitation emails stopped working

Sometime between last week and this, sending invitation emails stopped working.

I can still create invitation links.  
I can send test emails from the admin interface.  
Invitations are enabled.  
Can’t see anything in the email logs  
Tried looking in rails at Invite.last - only shows the last link-only invitation I created.  
Emails are enabled (I saw this: [After restore, sending email invites don't work](https://meta.discourse.org/t/after-restore-sending-email-invites-dont-work/183432))

AFTER all this, I just did an update to the latest version, and still have the problem.

Where else can I look?

Do the emails:

- not go out?
- bounce?
- get delivered but the invite does not work?

(Not go out):

But, when trying to recreate a screenshot with a dummy email address (which worked), I realised what the problem is: **the email already has an account**.

I’m pretty sure the message used to be more explicit than this.
