# Invite non-users via email to participate in a topic

Hello.
Is there a way to invite non-users via email to participate in a topic?
I thought I’d see that somewhere but I can’t see it now. ☹

Chriss there is an invite button at the bottom of every topic page just above **Suggested Topics**. It is located in the buttons menu next to the wrench icon. This button allows you to invite anyone to the forum without a login required

Thanks.
Now my problem seems to be that the link the non-user get in the email, opens up on the topic thread, but he can’t participate. ? Maybe these a site setting that I haven’t activated?

No the setting is by default. The invite link has an expiry time period I believe. May be @sam can put some light on it
